b. London, England.

Emma Ogawa Todd is a British Japanese artist working in installation, sculpture, textile, drawing and painting. Her work is included in Central Saint Martin’s Museum and Study Collection and she was selected as part of New Contemporaries in 2022.

Ogawa Todd explores cultural intersections and often her work is influenced by the Shinto belief in kami (spirits in all things), which guides her interest in cyclical relationships with the land. She works with found and natural materials, channelling animist principles through processes such as carving, weaving, and stitching.
